Childs Research Group

Lauren Childs

The Childs Laboratory

The Childs Lab develops and analyzes mathematical and computational models to examine biologically-motivated questions. A main focus of their work is understanding the pathogenesis and spread of infectious diseases.

With an emphasis on the interactions within an organism, such as between an invading pathogen and the host immune response, they study how these within-host interactions impact transmission of disease at a population level.
